Standing Committees

These are the various committees that are available to support the Democratic Party of Jefferson County, Indiana. Please feel free to ask about these groups and involve yourself in them to improve the Democratic Party’s goals as a whole.

The Committees

  • Executive Committee

    Officers and key leaders who handle overall direction

  • Central Committee

    Voting members; the official governing body under state party rules; coordinates precinct communication and neighborhood-level organizing

  • Fundraising Committee

    Plans fundraising events, donor outreach, budget oversight

  • Mission/Vision Committee

    Assists in defining the long-term direction for DPJCI

  • Building Improvement

    Works to improve headquarters

  • Election Committee

    Encourages and supports Democrats running for office

  • Communication & Media Committee

    Manages press, website, social media, and messaging

  • Events & Programs Committee

    Plans meetings, parades, fairs, and public events

  • Community Outreach Committee

    Builds connections and provides support to those in need through service, partnerships, and volunteer initiatives that strengthen our community

  • Political Conversation Committee

    Tracks local/state/federal policy and communicates with elected officials

  • Advocacy & Action Committee

    Calls and cards event, plans demonstrations, marches, and issue advocacy

  • Membership Outreach Committee

    Keeps an up-to-date list of members, contact info, and volunteer interests
