My name is Treva Shelton. I was born and raised in Bloomington, IN and moved to Jefferson County in 1977. My husband, Danny, our fur baby, Zoey, and I live on the Hanover College campus where I worked for forty years in the President’s Office; retiring eight years ago.

It has been my privilege to serve as a member of the Hanover Town Council representing District 1. During this time, the Council has worked as a team to improve facilities including sidewalks and enhancing the Park, to name a few. I am seeking re-election to continue that momentum and more.

Although I am running unopposed, your support would be greatly appreciated in the upcoming election.

Thank you!

Hello, my name is Debbie Kroger and I'm seeking re-election for the Hanover Town Council District 3. I have lived in Hanover for over 35 years. I retired from Hanover College Campus Safety Department after 25 years of service. I love our community and I have been active in serving my community for years.

Serving on the Town Council has been an honor for me and I want to continue to serve the community where I live. Many exciting projects are in the progress and I'm again seeking re-election to continue to work for this community.

My name is Charlie Spitler. On June 6 of this year, 2,313 delegates will gather in Indianapolis for the Indiana Democratic State Convention. I am hoping to be one of Jefferson County’s representatives.

As a lifelong Democrat, I feel it is more important now than ever before to come together as a cohesive voice promoting our democrat platform. We will also be selecting our democrat candidate for Indiana Secretary of State, Indiana State Treasurer, and Indiana State Controller. With the 2026 elections approaching, a renewed sense of unity within the democrat party will result in a much stronger party and electing more democrats to the offices they are seeking. This process all starts at our Indiana Democrat State Convention.

Thank you in advance for your support as one of your Jefferson County State Delegates.

Jane Stormer first came to Hanover in 2000 when the beauty and close community convinced her to leave her home in South Carolina to become a Hanover College student. Those same qualities and the undeniable charms of Kevin Stormer, called her back to Jefferson County a few years after graduation. Jane worked in the Office of Admission and Financial Aid at Hanover College for 12 years as an Admission Counselor who traveled the state, country, and world telling prospective students about the wonders of the Town and the College. In 2019 Jane refocused her career to art and serving the larger Jefferson County community. Since this shift Jane has made noticeable impacts in the community through volunteering and work; a few of which are listed here:

  • Lead collaborative art projects that support local organizations in their missions and through fundraising.

  • Helped start a food access and farmer supporting non-profit (Madison Youth Unlimited/Madison Community Grocery Project) and currently serves as the Board President.

  • Helped the County Commissioners form, convene, and also served as the Chairperson on the County Health and Human Relations Commission.

  • Works as an adjunct professor for Ivy Tech Community College and Hanover College teaching courses on Art Appreciation.

  • In the summer of 2024 was caucused on to the Hanover Town Council as a member At-Large where she has focused on updating out-of-date materials, serving on the SIRPC board, and helping transparency and communication with the public through creating town newsletters.

Jane’s work has always focused on making sure everyone’s voice is heard and humanity respected, and that often leads to difficult yet necessary questions and conversations. She has succeeded in resolving persistent challenges through listening to the community and finding creative solutions. Finally, Jane recognizes that kindness is valued in Hanover, and when applied generously everyone in Hanover can thrive. Jane would appreciate your vote so that she can keep up the good work.
